I've never met a strong person with an easy past.

Creative.
Authentic.
Passionate.
I am a Trauma-informed Psychotherapist
& Social Worker (MSW) with 18+ years in mental health. I offer a variety of services to support individuals, couples, families and organizations
navigating pain & change.
To get the most out of therapy, you and your therapist need to click. If you are going to be vulnerable with someone, you need to feel as comfortable as possible.
Take a look around and see if we might be a good fit.
I love strong coffee, good food and good conversation. I grew up rural, but am now a city girl. I am a wife, a mom of 2 kids, and despite my better judgement have a dog.
I have the refined palate of a 6 year-old and fancy grown up desserts pale in comparison to bite-sized Vanilla cupcakes, Sour Patch Kids, and deep-fried apple pies at Burger King. My birthday breakfast remains a giant bowl of Lucky Charms, and 100% of the time I will shake the bag around in front of my kids and take all the marshmellows. (Life isn't fair!) Because of those kids, I have read a fantasy series on unicorns, and have begrudgingly learned more about puppies, Pokemon and Greek mythology than I ever intended. I am at present a middle school chaffeur whose snack drawer supplies lunches to significantly more kids every week than I am legally obligated to feed.
I'm in an inbetweensie season of life; old enough that the cashier at a liquor store laughs when I ask if they need to see my driver's license, but not yet old enough for Seniors discounts. I swear sometimes, but leave the loonie in the grocery cart to balance it all out. I find joy in overpriced candles, oversized sweaters, all things glittery, home reno shows and my children (sometimes in that order). I have Pinterest boards full of ideas for "some day" projects, and get most excited for the ones where I can use a Hackzall. I like power tools and crayola markers. I will use my old school paper agenda and wall calendar til the day I die. I love hunting for treasures at Winners and Homesense. If I ever go missing, that is where you will find me.
My husband believes we have far exceeded the number of decorative pillows any home should have and he is very, very wrong.
Curling up in a big chair with a cozy blanket, a huge pillow and frothy coffee is heavenly. An all inclusive resort is how I prefer to camp.
Napping on the beach, that is bliss.
